There’s a New Moon in Cancer.
I float in the watery womb of the Cosmic Mother.
This is a holy darkness where revelations integrate. Ascension codes actualize. Expanded empathy metabolizes. Faith fortifies.
The pulse of rebirth loudly beats in my ears. I ache to activate, to midwife the creative visions streaming through my inner sight, to leap forward and lead in the (r)evolution, to express the lightning flashes of Truths emerging from fierce and nourished embodiment.
But I must be in the creative tension of what-was and what-will-be. I must be in the cocoon, in the warm waters of receptivity. I am tenderness, salt-water vulnerability, heightened sensitivity.
I must incubate, and my inner initiator resists. I’m action-oriented. I flow in hummingbird energy – I have the capacity to receive ideas, ignite them and bring them into full fruition.
I move swiftly. I over-give. I instantly say YES. Urgency has been a tightly woven friend, compelling me to find my earth mission and devotedly live my earth mission. But my giving has sputtered out to exhaustion, compassion and physical fatigue. I’m not living in heart equanimity, I’m not balanced in the natural cycle of give and receive.
This is the shadow of the Mother, the Mother wound that sacrifices and martyrs her wellbeing for others. That world is crumbling. That timeline is collapsing. The time for martyrs has concluded. The dawn of the sustained Mother rises.
And so it is the New Moon that will be my cradle, to release down into the crescent swing and be in the oceanic comfort of the starlit in-between. The Zodiac sign of the Mother helps me heal my mother wound.
Cancer is water, womb, waves of emotions. Cancer is family and hearth. Cancer calls us to nest, to care, to attend to the inner and outer home.
Strong tides of emotion capture my attention. I stop swimming upstream and sink into a sacred pause.
Here, the Mother awaits me.
Come and rest. Stop resisting who you are. Intuitive and highly sensitive and preparing for a rebirth.
The Mother knows her child. And most of the time, when I am mothering myself, I realize I need to return to simplicity: am I hungry, thirsty, tired?
I restore in the outdoors.
I meditate outside. I reverently bow to the dewy grass, whisper gratitude and feel the unconditional support to the ground, the Mother who holds it all and loves. In aligning with living in energetic sustainability, I realign my values and behaviors to live in harmony with Her. The outer reflects the inner, the inner causes the ripples in the outer.
There’s a New Moon in Cancer. There’s my fear of running late, of running out of time to complete what I incarnated to do, but the Mother eases this fear, reassures there’s abundance and divine orchestration behind all seasons.
Receive the nourishment of the in-between space. Float in the sacred waters, allowing the waves so we don’t get knocked by their intensity but instead let the intensity purify and propel us gently and beautifully forward, even and especially in rest.
So rest well.
