How can I support myself?
The question takes shape on the journal page and the answers spill from a heart relieved to be acknowledged and seen.
Oprah. Cappuccino. Sun.
I strengthen my trust in this intuitive-led response and make this dream manifest true.
I journey to a magical coffee shop, bask in spring rays and savor sips from a cappuccino while devoting whole-bodied listening to Oprah’s Super Soul Sundays. Oprah’s conversations with revolutionary researchers, soulful leaders, changemaking poets catalyze a brightening connection to myself and to the greater collective of humanity.
Their compassion-soaked words merge, mingle, meander with the start of the new moon in Pisces.
There’s a fresh eagerness, a gratitude-based appetite for life that surfaces with the new moon, that sings in the playfully persistent breeze reminiscent of a soon-to-be spring.
I hear this gorgeous lushness of aliveness emanating from the resonant voices of Oprah and her interviewees. Their hearts have been cracked courageously and consistently open to reveal, revel, and remain in spirited, evolving authenticity, and this presence propels through their speech.
So I drink my cappuccino, drench myself in sunbeams and dive deep into listening as we move into the waters of Pisces.
Pisces dwells in the ocean of our emotions, our empathy, our mystical understandings. Desires, dreams, downloads rise from the subconscious depths and sparkle on the glistening surface.
This new moon in Pisces arrives right at the promise of spring and brings forward the tides of delight in creativity, romance, a pleasurable and artistic relationship to life.
And it’s curious and imperative that I pause to truly honor the energies of this new moon because I’ve been demanding clarity, panicking over my purpose, and therefore, so distracted about figuring out my destiny that I’ve been sorely missing out.
The new moon in Pisces tells me to become like water. Ease into the current. Acceptance activates grace. Grace generates a steady strength. Strong and steady strides help me swim in the ebb and flow of this brewing springtime. And simply focusing on the present moment, revitalizes my relationship to living my life while I am still in it.
How can I support myself?
The question from the morning, the one I lean toward to initiate the day, adopts a Piscean attitude, and the wisdom rivers through Oprah’s interviews: Be exquisitely attentive; this singular focus on the tiny drop opens up the expanse of the ocean.
There’s a nudge to google and read articles about how French women approach skincare. Micellar water along with the French philosophy of hydration and health over flawless and perfect cultivates a confident ease in caring for my skin.
A small heart-leaping yes inspires me to watch a Danish political drama on Netflix. “Borgen” rekindles my old love affair with Denmark, and in a sweet nod to Pisces energy, sweeps me up in Danish living daydreams.
An intuitive inclination leads me to read Kate Northrup’s Money: A Love Story. I typically experience a blurry avoidance with my finances, a guilty reluctance to track and budget my money, but in following my intuitive prompting, I find the inner resources of curiosity and compassion are confident and ready to assist in clarifying and beautifying my financial relationship. And in trusting the timing to read this honeyed book, I easily receive, integrate and feel empowered to engage differently with my money.
The nudges, intuitive inclinations, quiet and clear heart-lifting yeses are bread crumbs that when acted upon curate a life. And the new moon in Pisces wants us to cherish our sacred curation.
And what’s my purpose?
On Oprah’s podcast, Marianne Williamson joyously proclaims that our purpose is to be right here, in this very moment.
The new moon in Pisces wants us to sweeten the wonder of the moment.
And that can begin by asking ourselves what we need, what would be supportive to us right here and now in this journey. It may be a spacious breath to feel embodied, connected, utterly alive, to be swept away in painting the details of a daydream, or permission to just rest and enjoy the resting.
For me, it’s green tea, a chance to collaborate with the muse, and as a tribute to Pisces, entertain the vision of meeting Oprah, maybe one day soon?
